EEB will participate in the acquisition of 31.92% of TGI

Bogotá, D.C., December 11th 2013. Today, Empresa de Energía de Bogota’s
Board of Directors, parent company of Grupo Energía de Bogotá, approved the
participation of EEB in the acquisition process of 31.92% stake that Citi Venture
Capital International (CVCI) owns in Transportadora de Gas International (TGI),
the largest natural gas transportation network in Colombia, in which EEB owns
68.05%, exercising its right established in the shareholders’ agreement.

TGI is the largest natural gas transportation company in the country with 47.6% of
participation in the market and an infrastructure of pipelines of 3,957 km serving
the most populated areas of Colombia as Bogota, Medellin, Bucaramanga, Eje
Cafetero and the Piedemonte Llanero.

This decision is part of the investment plan that the company has projected for the
next four years. EEB is the parent company of Grupo Energía de Bogotá, a
multinational company in the energy sector, which major shareholder is the City of
Bogotá. EEB participates throughout the whole electricity chain from generation to
commercialization, and transportation and distribution of natural gas, through
controlled and non-controlled subsidiaries.

EEB has optimal investment ratings: Local AAA Fitch, BBB – International;
Moody´s Baa3 and Standard & Poor´s BBB-. Likewise, thanks to its diversification
of business and internationalization, their share has had one of best performance
in the local securities exchange in the last semester.

Moreover, the company is one of the leaders in the Global Compact and the only
Colombian company of the fifty-six around the world that comprise the Lead Group
of the Global Compact. Also EEB is one of the eight Colombian companies that
make part of the Dow Jones sustainability index.
