The Basic Legal Circular 029 of 2014 from the Financial Superintendence of Colombia indicates that it provides instructions related to the prevention and control of money laundering and the financing of terrorism to issuers not subject to inspection and surveillance by the Financial Superintendence. Grupo Energía Bogotá S.A. E.S.P., being an issuer of securities not subject to inspection by this Superintendence, is obligated to comply with the indicated provisions and implement control mechanisms to prevent AML/CTF for its shareholders.
Taking the above into account, the Company updated the Manual "Integral System for the Prevention and Control of Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism" (SIPLA), which was approved by the GEB Board of Directors, as recorded in Minutes No. 1567 of December 14, 2016.
